Secure folder notification

I am writing this post because iam totally tired of this secure folder notification. It never goes away. I stopped using secure folder longtime ago and i forget the password. It never gives me the option to reset my password rather makes me wait from 30 min to 8 hours now, may be 24 on my next try i guess if i put the wrong pin. 

I would like to turn off all the features of secure folder especially the notification, it stays all the time. Someone please help me

@Gotham01 did you happen to link Secure Folder to your Samsung account?

If yes, then have you tried this:

1. Open Secure Folder on your device.
2. Tap FORGOT PASSWORD.
3. On the next screen, login with your Samsung Account.
4. In the pop up box, tap RESET.


If this doesn't help, you could try the following:

Go into Settings-> Apps then scroll or search for Secured folder and select it.
Scroll down to Storage and and tap, then tap on Clear data and clear Cache.
Once you cleared them, go out of the storage and scroll back up and tap on Secure folder settings.
It should prompt you to sign into your Samsung account and then take you to the settings for secured folder in which you can create and change the password. You can then sign into your secured folder with the new password.

I hope this might help.

If these don't help, the only other thing I can suggest is to disable Secure Folder.

If you got to Setting - Security and Privacy - Secure Folder, there is an option to Uninstall secure folder.

You can access it only if you know the pin.

After few attempts it gave me an option to uninstall secure folder finally 😁 😁 its all done now. But the last attempt made me to wait for 8 hours 😪.

Make sure you removed your samsung account first 😎..
Only way to get rid of secure folder is try more attempts🥵. After long hours it will give you an option to uninstall 🤥.

After the new update(ui 5.1) most of the devices dont get the option of forget password.
