Hi, I was hoping to get some help with getting my Samsung Pay to work on my phone. I've tried reinstalling the app multiple times. I've also reset all my settings. I want to try to get a solution without resetting my phone to factory

What happens:
1. Reinstall app
2. Signed into my account using Samsung Pass information
3. Accept all default settings
4. Accept notifications
5. The Samsung app just has the spinning wheel(4 dots) and then just sits like that for a long time.
6. I get an email that I signed into Samsung pay on a new device.
7. The app continues to spin indefinitely.

Samsung Pay has been replaced with Samsung Wallet. 

What is the model number of your device, ie: SM-xxxxxx? 

Where are you downloading Samsung Wallet from, Galaxy Store or?

My phone is SM-S918W. I tried both downloads from the galaxy store and the Google play store

Is the version number of Samsung Wallet v5.2.25?

If it is (should be), you can try going to Settings > Apps and Search for Samsung Wallet Click on it & Scroll down to Storage > Clear BOTH Cache & Data for Samsung Wallet & Reboot.

Try again.

The wallet version is v.5.2.25. I just followed your steps and it does the same thing

Do you have a solid WiFi / Cellular Data connection? 

If you're trying with WiFi, switch to Cellular Data. 

If you're using a VPN, turn it off while trying to setup Samsung Wallet.

Are you located in Canada, using a Canadian Carrier's SIM?

Yes to all the questions. I've attempted both wifi and LTE to set it up. I've also tried the wifi network at my workplace. I do not run a VPN

Can you go to Settings > About Phone > Status Information > Scroll down to "Phone Status", what does it say?

Uhm 🤔

At the moment, I'm not sure what else to try.. weird though.

You could send an error report to Samsung via Samsung Members app (Click on Support in the app & Scroll down to send an error report), but that's not going to help you right now. 

You could always download Google Pay from the Play Store, and see if that works for you in the meantime.
