Can someone help me? Is it only me who has a green line on my screen after a software update? What to do? I already tried troubleshooting it, but the line is still here. I already tried chatting with their support system, but they just said I had to go to the service center to get it fixed. Am I the one who will pay for it, like, what? I didn't do anything to destroy it, suddenly, it just popped up on my screen. It's just disappointing because I saved money just to buy this phone, but this happened.

Happened to my girlfriends S20+. That was a month ago, and the symptoms are still there.
Sometimes, the screen turns to flickering green, sometimes just flickering white. We were able to activate the "Maintenance Mode" using type c to hdmi connector before we checked to authorized samsung service centre.

The repairman said that it was due to broken lcd and quoted us 14,000php for lcd repair. Instead, we bought a new phone.

For 3 weeks, flickering comes on and off. It even flicker for a 3 whole days. Today, it is still an issue. Usually flickering appears only for around less than an hour and is only appear once or twice a week.

Some peopleon reddit also experience this kind of problem too.

Really? Maybe I should just wait to see. I already tried to go to the Samsung Service Center, and they told me I had to pay more than 15,000 to get this fix. Like what? I didn't do anything to make this happen, so why would I pay for it? It's really disappointing.

Hello iamveneee,

We are sorry to hear about your experience with the recent updates on your Samsung Galaxy phone having issues with the green line on screen.

It's good to know that you've tried several troubleshooting steps and even called our chat support service, but are still undecided about proceeding to go to a repair service due to your worries about the financial aspects of it. We feel and understand it; if it happens to me, I will be bothered too.

Before you try out the recommendations below, be sure to check if your device's software and related apps are updated to the latest version. To update your mobile device's software, follow these steps:

Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.
Step 2. Tap on Download and install.
Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 4. Restart your device.

Clear Cache Wipe Partition.

Step 1.  Turn off the device. (Connect with type C cable)
Step 2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the power button.
Step 3. When the Android logo displays, release all keys.
Step 4. Press the Volume down key to navigate and select "Wipe cache partition".
Step 5. Press Power key to select. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Select Reboot System.
Step 6. Press the Power key to restart the device.

If that doesn't fix the problem, you may submit an error report through the Samsung Members app as follows:

Step 1. Long press Samsung Members icon on Apps screen and tap Error reports.

Step 2. Tap OK on agreement popup to send system log data.

Step 3. Select Symptom category "Display".

Step 4. Describe the problem in details and SEND.
