Power on your Samsung TV using the SmartThings app on your compatible mobile device. It brings convenience and innovation with a tap of a button! Simply check whether your Samsung TV model is compatible with SmartThings and ensure that you have Connected the SmartThings app to your Samsung TV.
Follow the below guide for more information.
Enabling SmartThings to turn on your TV
Follow the steps below on your select 2017 - 2022 smart TV to enable Power on with Mobile.
2022 Model TVs
1. Press the Home button on your remote control and then select Menu
2. Navigate to Settings then All Settings
3. Select Connection then Network
4. Choose Expert Settings
5. Highlight Power On with Mobile and press enter on your remote control to turn this feature On
Please Note: If you disable this setting you WILL NOT be able to power on your Samsung TV via the SmartThings app.
6. On your mobile device, head to your apps and select the SmartThings app
Note: Ensure you have Connected the SmartThings app to your Samsung TV prior.
7. Head to Devices, then tap your TV's power button tile to switch your TV on/off
2017 - 2021 Model TVs
1. Press the Home button on your remote control and select Settings
2. Scroll down to General and then select Network
3. Choose Expert Settings
4. Highlight Power On with Mobile and press enter on your remote control to turn this feature On
Please Note: If you disable this setting you WILL NOT be able to power on your Samsung TV via the SmartThings app.
5. On your mobile device, head to your apps and select the SmartThings app
Note: Ensure you have Connected the SmartThings app to your Samsung TV prior.
6. Head to Devices, then tap your TV's power button tile to switch your TV on/off
