Here is a generalized wishlist of features for the Galaxy Watch8 in 2025 and beyond. I will add more features to this list if and when I think of them. Thank you for your consideration.

(1) larger batteries: 360mAh/500mAh

(2) wireless charging interface identical to the Galaxy Watch6; backwards compatible with the Watch6 charging puck

(3) ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the centre of the display

(4) 8MP 1080p30 under-display selfie camera beside the fingerprint scanner for taking photos, video chatting, video recording, and face ID/unlock

(5) more accurate health sensors, especially while running, swimming, etc.

(6) blood sugar sensor

(7) continuous real-time pulse oximeter and ECG

(8) more accurate motion sensors for more accurate gestures and health tracking

(9) four programmable multifunction buttons, two on each side of the watch, thereby adding the option to control volume instantly from anywhere instead of having to navigate through menus

(10) live translation built in for when your phone is not with you, and for those who use a smartwatch in place of a smartphone altogether

(11) massively improved displays:
  • larger sizes: 1.4"/1.6"
  • better technology: Dynamic AMOLED 2X, LTPO 5.0, Diamond PenTile subpixel matrix, HDR10+, variable refresh rate
  • higher refresh rate: 1-90Hz
