Galaxy ANew evidence has emerged from an online benchmark to lend even more weight to Samsung’s alleged intentions of releasing a 4G-only Galaxy A22 model along with a 5G variant. These two devices should look the same judging by a few press renders that leaked earlier this week, but they won’t be identical in terms of hardware specifications.
The Galaxy A22 5G (SM-A226B) was spotted in an online benchmark a couple of months ago when it was revealed that the phone is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. It turns out that the 4G variant of the Galaxy A22 — model number SM-A225F — also adopts an SoC made by MediaTek, except it’s the Helio G80 solution which is not quite as powerful as the Dimensity 700.
