I have noticed this issue when taking group pictures and when pictures are enlarged to check the quality, almost all faces are over smoothened, and looks really weird.  This however, only noticed if the camera automatically detect a face. It seems Samsung is really trying hard to produce good pictures, but it's too much, and there's no way we could switch this feature off for now. Even setting filter/ beauty or HDR+ function off does not help as well. To be honest, my old, trusty S6 edge+ produces much better pictures when taking group/people pictures. No issue if pictures taken do not involve faces though.

Similary, the Verge also raises this issue when testing the latest S20 series. The only solution right now is to use PRO mode, as possibly AI is not enabled to detect human faces. Other than this, I really love my N10.

@samsung, hope you could resolve this issue soonest possible and taking this matter seriously.

For some reason, Samsung engineers think we need our faces to be smoothen in our pictures XD

Yeap. If we could have options to turn on/off the feature, it will be great.

So meaning Samsung Camera are more same as like Huawei, Oppo & Vivo phone selfie cam..

Try to set back the camera apps, It's just tap to off the beauty filter & all setting it back to '0' for every filter.

I'm also dislike the oversmoothing skin, and so far it's not done the auto beauty after the sett off. Plus, until now there's no girls try to borrow or rq to selfie using my phone..😅

Exactly.

All features ie beauty filter is already turned off, as per my first post.

I'm not a fan of selfie either, but it's a bit frustrating when taking group pictures( using rear camera ) and faces look weird. You will notice it when you enlarge the picture as oversmoothing is too much.

Am hoping that Samsung could give us option to either turn on or off this.
