Galaxy Note
I'm using samsung note 20, i encountered the same problem which is whenever i turn off screen, my navigation always lost connection and it exits the navigation. I already did all possible solution such as turn off power saving, let google map play in background and everything that allow map using network freely. Can you guys help me find another solution or setting that i might not know? I already searched all possible answer but none works

Try this!
Navigate to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Background usage limits > Never sleeping apps, tap + to add Google Maps app. After the trip, it is advisable to undo this to help conserve battery while not in use.

1. please update your google map to the latest update
2. lock the app to make it "keep open"
