Galaxy SPlease please do something about this.
I have two sim cards.
Sim 1: Local Use
eSim 2: Overseas use
When i leave the country, i have to turn on data roaming in EXACTLY the steps below.
1. Go to Sim Manager and turn on Sim 2
2. Go to Mobile Data and choose Sim 2
3. Go back and go to Mobile Networks and turn on Data Roaming
If i mix up the steps, i get charged data on Sim 1. I have been charged twice and it has doubled my bill each time.
If i switch and Sim2 recognises my local network (land border) instead, SIM 2 now is roaming in my local network. So i have to guess when i can turn it on.
Coming home (land crossing), if i switch to Sim 1 and it happens to still be on the overseas network, i get charged as well. Because data roaming needs to be on for Sim 2 to work. So i have to guess when i can switch.
Now here is nearly every other brand's data roaming setting
Sim 1 - Data Roaming on or off
Sim 2 - Data Roaming on or off
Solves all the problems, no chance of a mistake and no guessing!
Turn Data roaming off for Sim 1. Never get into roaming data by mistake!
And i can select "Switch sim for data" and i dont ever have to choose a sim card for data when overseas!
Q&A but Edwsy, you just need to call your service provider and switch off roaming for your sim 1.
But that turns off my calls and texts too!
Please please change this!
