Two days back, Samsung initially released the June 2021 Security Patch update to the Galaxy S21 Series. The company is now expanding the same update to the Galaxy S20 Series users. The new update is taking place on the firmware versions G981BXXS8DUE4, G986BXXS8DUE4, and G988BXXS8DUE4 for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and the Galaxy S20 Plus, respectively. The new firmware is currently limited only to the users of the United Kingdom.

The update doesn’t seem to pack with any new add-ons or features and major changes. The changelog of the current update is not available at the moment. However, similar to the Galaxy S21 Series update, it might incorporate very few minor changes to the system. If the company adds any new changes, then you will be noticing them while operating your smartphone.

The June 2021 Security Patch update is being rolled out in a phased manner, and it may take days or weeks to appear on all the Galaxy S20 Series smartphones across the world. Alternatively, users can head over to Settings>Software updates and check for updates. As usual, if you see any new update there, download and install it to get the taste of the new security patch.

The Galaxy S20 Series is receiving security patch updates regularly. Here are the details of the May 2021 and March 2021 Security Patch updates.
