Samsung has released the December 2024 security update, firmware version S918BXXS7CXK6 (approximately 378 MB), for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. This update addresses more than 45 security vulnerabilities, including critical and high-severity issues identified via Google's vulnerability database and Samsung's SVE (Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures) program. The update also features an enhanced Samsung Auto Blocker, which, when set to "Maximum restrictions", prevents communication with all devices (excluding chargers) through the USB port.

Subject: Urgent: Samsung S23 Ultra Malfunction Post One UI 6.1 Update

Dear Samsung Service Team,

I hope this email finds you well.

I am writing to report a critical issue with my Samsung S23 Ultra, which I updated to One UI version 6.1 yesterday, December 23, 2024. Today, December 24, 2024, the phone suddenly got stuck while I was using it, restarted, and displayed the Samsung Galaxy logo along with the Android logo for approximately 20 minutes before switching off. Since then, it has not powered on, nor does it respond to charging.

I purchased this mobile in March 2023, and it has not even been two years since then. The phone has no physical damages and has never been dropped or exposed to water. It is concerning that a premium device costing around ₹1,17,000 (512GB varient) is experiencing such severe issues shortly after a software update.

 

I have a lot of personal information stored on this device, and this malfunction is causing significant inconvenience. I request your immediate assistance in resolving this issue.

Please advise on the next steps to take to address this problem as soon as possible.
