Experiencing an issue where there are no WhatsApp message notifications coming through. I only get vibration when a new message arrives. I am however able to get a ringtone when a WhatsApp Voice Call comes through.
So far I have done a fair bit of troubleshooting including:
1. Ensuring my phone is not enabled for Do Not Disturb.
2. Checking that my App Notifications for WhatsApp is enabled
3. Changing to a new message tone
4. Clearing WhatsApp Cache
5. Uninstalling and reinstalling my WhatsApp
6. Toggling the Enable/Disable button for App Notifications and for WhatsApp Notifications
7. Restarting my phone
Anyone else having this issue? Would love to know how to resolve this issue. Thanks!
Hi, have you tried toggling with the notification in the WhatsApp app itself? Or is WhatsApp under any battery optimisation such as sleep or deep sleep?
Already tried toggling and also it is not under any sleep mode.
I did manage to resolve the problem in a bizarre way which I still cannot believe. I was trying to determine if I have a notification problem only with WhatsApp so I went into Wechat (another messaging app) and changed the volume of the Wechat notification after which I was able to get notifications for both Wechat and WhatsApp.
