I would like to express my deep dissatisfaction with the new One UI interface, which I believe is a major step backward in terms of usability and user experience.
I’m using a Galaxy Ultra, and since the recent update, the interface has become completely unsuitable for large devices:
The search bar is now placed at the bottom of the screen. On a large phone, this is extremely uncomfortable. Previously, it was located at the top—within natural eye level—which made much more sense.
The notification panel behavior has changed drastically: swiping from the left side now shows notifications, while swiping from the right shows quick settings. This is confusing, unintuitive, and frustrating.
These changes make using the phone unpleasant and inefficient. I don’t understand why Samsung would impose such interface changes without giving users the option to revert or choose.
I strongly urge you to:
Bring back the option to place the search bar at the top
Allow users to restore the classic dropdown panel for notifications and quick settings
Please consider these issues seriously. I’ve been a long-time Samsung user, but this new interface is ruining the experience—especially on high-end devices like the Galaxy Ultra.
Hi there, u do know u can revert to the original drop down notification panel. To the right pull down the panel, click the pencil looking icon, u will see panel settings over on the top left, just click that and you will see the option to separate or together, just choose together.
