One UI 7 update trashes battery life

One UI 6.1 might be out of date, but at least it doesn't *** ur battery dry like a 2,000 year old starved vampire. 6.1 had me going form off the charger at 7:35am and to sleep at 11pm with 45% battery life easy..... this new update has me charging my phone in the middle of the day.....say what now?!!!?!!!

Usually the 7:35 to midday leaves me with 80 - 85% but now we looking at 60 - 65%. Of every phone I've had with updates, I have never had battery life taken such a hit

The Ai and high graphic animations may drain it just turn them off. Got to work this morning with 50% on my ZF6 and now i am at 32% which aint bad cause i am online ever so often

I agree with you. The battery got bad, and I don't turn on anything.

I did a test last night to see battery drain if I just did nothing . It started at 91% and 4 hours later it's at 87%

Haven't noticed any change in battery life on the S24 Ultra

Running another test today. Completely drained the battery to 0% and recharged to 100% to see if it forces the OS to recognize battery capacity. Doesn't look too bad so far. Over a 5 hour period of steady use it went from 100% to 85%. Will enable battery protection so it charges to 99% and see the results after a full day tomorrow

Ok so the test yesterday wasn't completely bad. Went to bed at 11:20 with battery at 32%.
Today I started my day at 6:50 with 99% (activated the battery protection) and it's now 10:17 and I'm at 79%...but guess what? I found a hidden app running in the background....Registar. Not sure how that got there so it was just running in the background. I disabled it so will see what happens next.

It's 3 hours and 15 minutes later and it has dropped from 79% to 67%. Moderate usage. I guess that background app was doing some damage but I still feel battery life can be way better. Here's hoping Samsung fixes the issue somehow.

Hmm Registar is a Good Lock app used configure the Settings app. Were you using it on 6.1.1?
