You're not the only one. Lots of people are having this issue once they updated recently. Mine is a green line. No statement issued by Samsung as to the fix and if you're lucky they might reach out to you but it's a crapshoot. Some might say to send in to Samsung to get the screen replaced but if software update caused this surely there could be a software solution. To replace the screen would be around RM700-RM1000 depending if you send to Samsung or other repair shops so not worth the cost.

Samsung really messed up. My phone got a green line 2 weeks back. Today, another line appeared. It's like it's spreading.. and they want to charge us for 800rm. Clearly it's not a professional company

Galaxy Sline has to do with updates? thought it's caused by faulty hardware, ribbon connector etc.

Nope, not when it's happening to a lot of users at the same time. This might be different than whatever Samsung India was facing, for Malaysia it is likely caused by the system update. Maybe it causes hardware disfunction but it stemmed from the latest update.
