Galaxy SBefore we share a few tips on extending your battery life, we’d like to share some of the common causes.
The new Samsung Galaxy S22 has an optimized power mode feature which allows the phone to adapt its battery life to the way you use your smartphone. In other words, the phone’s AI will allocate battery consumption based on your usage patterns, thus normally extending the battery life. That said, users tend to download a large number of applications and features within the first three days of purchase. During this time, the default device settings and background running frequency are being optimised, which increases the battery drain. After 7 days of use, the AI learns and adjusts the battery usage to suit the way you use your smartphone, normalising battery drain speeds.
Another possible cause could include the high refresh rate of the screen. The Samsung Galaxy S22 supports a screen refresh rate of up to 120Hz, which results in smoother animations and scrolling but will drain your battery life at a faster rate. There are two modes that you can switch between – Smooth Motion and Adaptive 120Hz. With the Adaptive 120Hz, your device will automatically change the refresh rate of your display depending on the content being played whereas with Smooth Motion, it’ll cap the refresh rate at 60Hz.
If you want to save battery power, we recommend setting the screen to Smooth Motion. The settings can be adjusted using the following path: Settings > Display > Motion Smoothness > Standard
Another tip that will help extend your battery life is to ensure that Adaptive battery option is on.
You can do so by following this path: Settings > Battery & device care > Battery > More battery settings > Adaptive battery. Additionally, you can put unused apps to sleep by going to Settings > Battery & device care > background usage limits > Put unused apps to sleep depending on usage pattern.
*Typical values are tested according to the conditions of third party laboratories. This is an estimated average value considering the deviation in battery capacity from the battery samples tested under IEC 61960 standard. Rated (minimum) value is 4855mAh for Galaxy Devices. Actual battery life may vary. It depends on the environment, network, usage patterns. and other factors
We hope that these tips help in extending your battery life. If you’re looking for more tips, do check out this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAOH7jC2jog&feature=youtu.be

Galaxy SSame here, after a month of use I've switched back to my Galaxy note 9 as I can use it for a whole day without keeping battery banks in my pockets.
I was hitting it heavy as I was in a strange country so relying on it for maps etc (positiion is also buggy, as is compass) but my note 9 lasted at least 6-7 hours with some life left the S22 ultra would be on it's second power bank by this point, having gone throught it's own battery in 3-4 hours.
Even with no sim, no apps open and closed in my bag it'd gone from 100% to 0% overnight never mind when I was actually using it.

Galaxy SI have been using the Galaxy phones for a long time. The S22's battery is just horrible, I have applied all the setttings and it still drains fast. The S20 had an awesome battery life, but I don't know what to say about this phone. If they don't fix this issue for the regular S23 I am moving away. The battery life is just ridiculous. Just FYI I don't game or watch movies on my phone. I just text and scroll through social media from time to time. I shouldn't have to worry about my phone being out of battery before 5pm.

Galaxy SI am so disappointed in the S22. My battery doesn't even last half a day. I had an S10 for 3 years. Even that phone lasted more than this in its 3rd year. This is ridiculous. I'm never buying a Samsung phone again.
I have to carry around a charger. Paid 800 Euros for this phone.
