Subject: Green Line on Galaxy S22 Ultra Screen – Seeking Advice

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to share an issue with my Galaxy S22 Ultra and to hear if anyone has experienced the same.

On 15th January 2025, a green line suddenly appeared on my screen. My phone is less than 2 years old, purchased for S$1,808 from Best Denki (Bedok Mall) on 31st December 2022 (collected 4th January 2023).

There’s no physical damage, drops, or water exposure. I’ve researched online and found this issue seems common across several Samsung models, which is quite concerning for a premium device.

I feel frustrated and worried about the repair costs since this seems to be a hardware defect. Is there anyone here with a similar experience? Did Samsung offer a free repair or replacement?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts or advice.

Mine also appeared to both S22 ultra devices, each time updates will appear green line. Same goes to my S20 series and Note 10 . It's seems want us to upgrade when my device is out of warranty after updating latest software. Like they insert a bugs so will let us to go repair or upgrade the phone😡. This will be the last phone upgrade, gonna switch to others brand.

A green line also just appeared on my Galaxy S22 out of a sudden about 3 days ago on 18 Jan 25. It happened to my son's Samsung A series hp too !!!

My S20 Ultra got green screen today, 21st Jan 2025. Although this should be a known issue, Samsung never acknowledges it. It is so disappointing that a flagship product which costs almost similar to a laptop could not even last for 2 years.

I went to service center in Jurong East only to receive the standard response that the phone is out of warranty and need to pay SGD 400 to replace the screen

Btw, this is the 2nd time I have got the same green screen issue on the same mobile handset. Unlucky or just Samsung's way of forcing people to buy the new S25 releasing in few days.
