UI7 was pushed out to S22, phone subsequently lagged and automatically restart repeatedly. Apps hanged, system error messages popped up. Samsung service made me do a factory reset and issues continued after the reset. They refuse to waive charges for any servicing even though it is clear that issues only started after the UI7 updates. They even denied that there are issues even though it has been reported several times by users from different countries. Two weeks later, no resolution and they no sound or picture. Today, phone crashed and died. Through this time, i have very bad experience. Seems like they cannot get their act together anymore. Why pay premium for a brand that doesn't care.

Update: Samsung just told me it is a hardware issue and is not willing to pay for repairs even though it was due to the UI7 update which caused the hardware to malfunction. They claimed and was adamant that it is not a software problem. Should i bring it in for repair, i have to pay for all charges. Wow this really tips the scale - a good denial even though this issue has existed in many users report in reddit, different regional community. Do not take my word for it. Just search for "UI7 issues to motherboard", it will all appear.

If the phone is under warranty, then repair with samsung will be a choice. If not, those authorized repair will be a more economic option.

Not the main point here. The crux of the matter is this - there is nothing wrong with the phone at all before the update. It was after the update to UI7 that causes the battery to be overheated, error messages on system not responding/lagging, apps failing and auto-restarts. If these stresses the hardware, it is a consequence of the software malfunction that results in the over-drive. The susbsequent non-acknowledgement that the hardware problem is a result of the constant auto-restart and battery heat, is the other issue. Paying for the repair out of pocket is not about economic option or not. It is the issue of Samsung being aware of this happening to many users globally but does not want to provide any resolution
