Z Fold 4 shut down when folded

Hey guys, I have the Z Fold 4 and now im facing the issue where the phone immediately blacks out when I folded the phone. When it's folded, I can't even turn it back on. I have to unfold it then I can only power it on.

Now it seems like I have to carry this mini tablet around because it doesn't allow me to Fold it to a smaller size.

Anybody has any suggestions?

Yup, this is a problem regarding battery and screen.. me i have the same issue.. not with my fold 4 or flip 5, but my wife flip 4.. only auto shutdown after u fold the phone.you should have 2 year warranty like mine.. go to the nearest samsung service centre to do it.. It's free and very fast service.. I wish u best of luck.. stay safe, take care..

Fold 4 completely rubbish.I said based on my experience. only scratch a bit at outside void warranty. Samsung warranty rubbish. Dont buy fold and flip series. a big no

Did you find a solution to your problem? I am having the same issue as well. 

The phone turns off when attempting the close the phone at about a 45-degree angle. 

Both displays work just fine when totally opened. 

Charges just fine when opened.

I can have the phone opened, put it on charge, then fold the phone, and it would work, however, once I remove the phone from the plug in USB-C cable it shuts off immediately whether open or not.
