Update Your SmartThings App:
- Make sure you have the latest version (version to 1.8.13.22 or above) of the SmartThings app installed on your Galaxy device.
- If you haven’t already, download the app from the Galaxy Store or the Google Play.
Access the 3D Map View:
- Open the SmartThings app.
- Look for the 3D-esque home icon located at the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap on it to access the 3D Map View feature.
Create Your Virtual Floor Plan:
- The app will present three options for creating a 3D map:
- Take a picture of your floor plan: Use your phone’s camera to capture your existing floor layout.
- Freehand draw: Sketch your floor plan directly within the app.
- Arrange rooms and walls: Arrange virtual rooms and walls to represent your home’s layout.

Connect Your Smart Devices:
- As you connect your smart devices (such as lights, thermostats, and sensors) to SmartThings, they will automatically appear on your 3D map.
- The app uses LiDAR sensors (available in Samsung devices) to precisely measure and map your home’s layout.
Explore and Control:
- Once your 3D map is set up, you can explore it by navigating through rooms and areas.
- Tap on devices to control them directly from the map interface.
- Adjust lighting, temperature, and other settings effortlessly.
