OthersEarly in 2014, when I bought HU9000, it was higher end model. At the same time, there was another model if not wrong 8500 was available. Both Samsung website & promoters mentioned, one connect box is future proof & next time don't need to change TV but just purchase evolution kit & able to get newer version of TV.
Based on this commitment, I trusted Samsung & purchased HU9000 paying at-least 1K more than the other version of TV with same features. I happened to look for such evolution kit & happened to notice SEK-4500 but not in Singapore.
When I called customer service (ID : 1169512984), it was constantly mentioned to me that Samsung stopped such idea & talk about technology change. I am deeply dissappointed that they don't understand that this is failing to fulfill promise/commitment given to customer about future proof thingy & just drop such concepts at the wish & will. Customer service team is literally hopeless & just kept saying sorry. Pain is born by me for trusting & paying extra sum of $$.
This is the prize being loyal customer of Samsung for past 1+ decade. Good job done by Samsung!! No more believing of future proof concept by Samsung. Also Australian customer able to get at-least 2018 evolution kit (SEK-4500) but Asian such options are revoked. Next time, please do consider dropping price for asian customers as we are revoked of future proof features.
Not sure if other companies would have treated the customer by just simply saying sorry & mentioning cannot escalate further. I spent around $$300+ for my TV & Samsung out of goodwill gave me some code to use it to buy TV. But for this issue, absolutely empty hand & finally gave me another code to discount my new purchase but i cannot combine 2 codes when purchasing the TV. Simple answer, system does not accept 2 codes for purchase of single TV. So, i need to purchase 2 x TV & customer service people said that is my choice.
I know it's waste of time writing this as Samsung don't bother 1 customer mistrust been established. Just fake marketing & take extra $$ from customers.
ID I stated here in this post is just one. I have fainted talking to at-least 3-4 customer service people but all well trained to deliver same message :(
