Samsung is facing criticism after users discovered that its devices include AppCloud, a pre-installed program that cybersecurity specialists describe as bloatware nitially found on Galaxy A and M models in West Asia and North Africa, the app has now been reported across Europe and South ASia as well. SMEX. a Beirut-based diaital rights group, said the software collects data without a clear privacy policy and is linked to the Israeli firm ironSource, long associated with intrusive installation tools. Users say AppCloud cannot be removed without root access and repeatedly reappears after updates. Concerns escalated as screenshots showed the app requesting permissions for full network access backqround downloads and the ability to install software without alerts. Cybersecurity analysts argued that the app effectively creates a constant data channel blurring the line between advertising technology and surveillance Samsung has not responded to SMEX's inquiries or an open letter about the issue.
