What is the differences between demo unit phone and normal phone? I see no differences between them but someone tells me the demo unit ones dont have something than the normal ones 🤔
Hi, yes I have bought a used Galaxy S23 for fairly cheap price, unfortunately I didn't notice it was a demo until I tested it properly at home. There are some minor and major restrictions, but I can get over it. It was a huge upgrade from Galaxy A51. I reflashed the Android using ODIN to the newest version and I am using the phone as is. Here are restrictions I noticed:
Samsung Pass not working
Battery saver options not working
Mobile data and hotspot icons missing from quick menu (fixed using ADB)
Can't change the lock screen properly
The worst OTA upgrades don't work, currently I reflashed from Android 13 to A14, but when I check the updates it always shows up to date. I'll need to update only using Odin but IDK how it is with user data.
To sum it up, I don't think it's worth buying a DEMO phone and if I knew I was buying a demo I wouldn't go into it. The apps don't crash and are working flawlessly.
