Tired of repeatedly entering your password to unlock your device at home or in the car? With our Extend Unlock feature, your device automatically unlocks when trusted locations (like work or home) or other trusted devices (like Bluetooth®️ headsets or NFC tags) are detected. Here's how it works.
Firstly, enable the Extend Unlock feature:
Make sure you have a screen lock already set up.
Open your device's Settings app.
Tap Security & privacy > More security settings > Trusted agents
Toggle on the Extend Unlock feature
Secondly, set up trusted devices and locations:
Make sure you have enabled the Extend Unlock feature as per the steps above.
Open your device's Settings app.
Tap Lock Screen and AOD > Extend Unlock
Enter your current PIN, pattern or password.
Pick an option and follow the on-screen steps.
Say goodbye to entering PINs, passwords, or other credentials at trusted places or near trusted devices!
Extend unlock does not work. I have setup for home location but phone continues to lock even when it has not moved - just sitting on the table next to me.
