Qualcomm's latest chip, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, is a more budget-friendly version of the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, offering a streamlined feature set and a significantly smaller size, measuring 8.40×10.66mm compared to the 8 Gen 3's 10.71×12.81mm.
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 features a reduced cache configuration, with the ultra-large X4 core's L2 cache halved from 2MB to 1MB, and similar reductions across L2, L3, and SLC cache sizes.
Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the 8s Gen 3 has a slower CPU configuration, a less powerful Adreno 735 GPU, limited memory support, reduced video recording and encoding/decoding capabilities, and an older X70 baseband, resulting in slower theoretical network speeds.
