Hi, I recently made a purchase – a smartwatch, which I absolutely love! There's nothing wrong with the order, but I wanted to share my thoughts on the "free" Samsung gift box that came with it.
It’s a really nice, high-quality box – no complaints there. However, I wish Samsung Malaysia would offer an option to skip the gift box and instead ship in an ordinary one. I understand the box is part of a promotional package (apparently valued at RM100 – yikes!), and for those buying it as a gift, that’s great. But for people like me who are purchasing for themselves, it seems unnecessary.
It would be wonderful if Samsung could provide an option like, "Ship in an ordinary box," and the value of the premium box – let’s say RM1 or any equivalent amount against that RM100 – could be donated to a nonprofit organization. Samsung could even give customers the option to choose from a list of charities for the donation.
It’s a small gesture that could make a big difference. Often when walking around the city, we encounter less fortunate individuals, and let’s be honest – sometimes we don’t have any spare change. (We’ve all been there, don’t laugh!) It would be nice to glance at your Samsung watch or phone and think, “Hey, I did my part today,” and feel a little less guilty.
That’s just my opinion. Feel free to pass this along if it resonates – I think it makes sense in the crazy world we’re living in now.
