OthersGalaxy devices with Android 10 or later features an excellent file sharing function called Quick Share, which seamlessly works between Galaxy phones, tablets, and Galaxy Books. However, users have to download a third-party file-sharing app or use Google’s Nearby Share to share content to non-Galaxy devices.
Meanwhile, a recent report suggests that this problem will be solved soon as Samsung is joining a group of Android OEMs that aims to fix the sharing problem with its own file-sharing standard. According to the info, Samsung has joined the Mutual Transmission Alliance and decided to adopt its wireless file sharing feature.
For those who unaware, MTA was founded two years ago by Chinese OEMs including Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo. Later on, Asus, Black Shark, Hisense, MEIZU, OnePlus, Realme, and ZTE had also joined the alliance. Now, Samsung becomes the latest smartphone brand to join the Mutual Transmission Alliance.
