Recently, Samsung announced that Walmart will purchase over 7 million smartphones in the next few months. According to the info, 740,000 rugged Galaxy XCover Pro phones will be distributed to Walmart employees for use at work and at home.
The South Korean tech giant revealed that it is the company’s largest deal in the mobile enterprise segment in the US market. However, Samsung has not announced info about the deal, but the Galaxy XCover Pro’s Walmart units will be cheaper than its retail price of $500.
It’s noteworthy that Walmart itself needs smartphones to implement the Connected Associate initiative that created a special application, which is designed to simplify daily tasks for employees, customer service process, and planning work and life outside of work.
