CD Player - Optical Out to Samsung Soundbar Optical Input 

Kindly advise if this is correct 

What do I to do at the Samsung TV 

Setup? I've done the basic setup accordingly, all working well, except for the CD Player. Kindly advise if I am right, connecting the Optical cable from CD Player Out to Samsung Soundbar Optical In?

Do I need to set any functions at the Samsung TV under the Sound functions? Or any other set-up details? Will the CD audio route directly to the Samsung Soundbar?

I just want to listen to cd music, also not willing to discard the Marantz CD Player. Although it's old but still working well.
From the Salesman at the shop which I bought the Samsung Soundbar, his suggestion was to play CD on my DVD player but the audio will go through the tv.

I think & I will try, I need to choose the option on the Soundbar, Optical, when I am using the CD player. I will try tomorrow, as it's 22.45pm now in Singapore lol

is there a media player apps on TV? otherwise, i don't quite understand how to control it via TV.

there are various source that we can choose st Soundbar, as you pointed out.

i use tv and soundbar with hdmi cable and then switch to mobile phone on bluetooth
