This means that some apps will need to readjust to the new software. Additionally, your files and data will be reorganized and scanned again to detect security risks.
These procedures might complete within five hours (5) if the phone is fully charged and idle or within three (3) days under your normal usage. This optimization process may also take longer if you use your phone during this period. Once the optimization is completed, the standby time will return to normal.

Agree on this, I always update my phone once it becomes available cause as Harri_s95 said, it improves stability performance and security against malwares.
