PhotographyHey Samsung fans! I wanted to share my mobile video shooting setup using the Samsung Galaxy A54, which has been surprisingly powerful for creating smooth, cinematic videos. With the right settings and tools, you can turn your A54 into a capable video rig. Here’s how I do it:
📸 Camera Settings
To get that clean, flicker-free video look, I adjust my settings like this:
ISO: Always keep it low to reduce noise, especially in bright conditions. I usually stay between ISO 50–200.
Shutter Speed (Speed):
In Malaysia, I use 1/50 or 1/25 to match the 50Hz power frequency.
In the USA, switch to 1/60 or 1/30 for 60Hz compatibility.
EV (Exposure Value): Set to 0.0 for a balanced exposure.
Focus: Depending on the shot, I use either Auto or Manual Focus for better control.
White Balance (WB): Always set to Manual to maintain consistent color across your shots.
Pro tip: I shoot using the Pro Video mode to unlock these manual settings.
💡 Lighting – Ulanzi VL49 RGB
A good video needs good lighting. I use the Ulanzi VL49 RGB light to add some creative flair or fill light to my scene. It’s small, magnetic, and packs a punch with RGB options – perfect for indoor or low-light shooting.
📱 Lens Filter – Neewer ND Filter Kit
Controlling light is crucial, especially when shooting outdoors. I use the Neewer Clip-On HD Variable ND Filter Kit (ND2–ND32) to maintain proper exposure even in bright sunlight. It clips perfectly over my phone and gives me that creamy, cinematic motion blur at slower shutter speeds.
🎞 Editing – LumaFusion on Mobile
After shooting, I edit directly on my phone using LumaFusion. It’s fast, powerful, and supports multiple layers, color grading, transitions, and more. No need to transfer to a computer – everything stays in my pocket.
🎥 Final Thoughts
With just a few tools and the right settings, you can unlock the full video potential of the Galaxy A54. Whether you're vlogging, shooting short films, or just experimenting – this setup works great on the go!
