Does anyone have any experience with the adaptive power saving setting does it actually help with battery life?

Yes, only thing is you won't notice it because you'll get used to it and then it'll feel like normal. For me it gets me through the day and since I'm near an outlet most of the time I don't really mind less battery life. but it does make a significant impact when traveling. so keeping it on might be a good idea. it'll take a while for your phone to adapt so the sooner you use it the better

Don't forget to optimize your apps, set up a scheduled time got optimization and auto restart. All these things help you device to continue running smoothly.

I have auto optimization and auto restart turned on

I'm pretty sure it's working for me.
if I'm at 100% when I leave for work and then only use my phone minimally for a few texts, I'm still at around 90% or more when I get home. I'm really happy with battery life on this phone. I never feel like I need to bring my charger, even when I'm having a heavier usage day.
