Are there settings within the phone that need to be changed for apps to auto-update through the play store? I have it enabled over Wi-Fi but it never seems to actually happen.

If you are talking about this I've always had it enabled. That's why I was asking if there is something phone settings specific.

it should work if the setting is selected. Try turning it off and force stop play store and clear the cache.
