anyone else experience issues with the navbar?

Recents button just does not work at all for me ... Back and home work fine but recents not a bit.

yes. I reported this issue. appears to be meshing with the google navigation in android 10. you have to do the back from the very left corner now not from where you are use to in one ui 1.0 with android 9.

did you use an app disabler before hand? or uninstall the OneUI home app via adb? I had one ui disabled via package disabler before I installed the beta and it broke my recent apps button. I had to reenable one ui for it to work.

I had the home all disabled via adb, just re-enabled it. not sure why it would be tied to the launcher, kind of stupid if you ask me 🤷‍♂️

Disabling system apps like launcher does affect other apps. We do recommend disabling any system app. Thank you for your solution. We appreciate your contribution to the Beta community.
