Apps giving thenselves permission

Some of my apps are giving themselves location permission when I never gave consent to this, i keep getting notifications about "(Insert app) has access to your location" when i know for a fact I never gave it to them

You can turn them off in the settings>app permissions

I like the feature. I never got those messages with 9.
I suspect when we installed the beta , some of those settings reset to defaults

Calder is correct. After installing the beta the One UI isn't using the previous location settings for some apps--possibly because Android Q location permissions work differently than in Pie.
