Bottom panel on keyboard

How do you remove the bottom panel on the keyboard with the arrow in the bottom right and the keyboard symbol on the bottom left?

Settings. Display. Navigation bar. The only way I found to remove it is by switching from buttons to gestures.

Make sure that this option is checked off. Go to Settings->Display->Navigation Bar to find this setting. If it is checked off, try checking it on and then unchecking it again. This fixed it for me.
