dark theme for Google app and Google Assistant not working

dark theme for Google app and Google Assistant not working after turn on dark mode.  Gmail, play, calculator, and everything else are dark themed.  Do I need to download something or turn something else on?

This is an issue with the Google apps and not Samsung. I have the beta Google apps. they are still testing dark mode for assistant and feed
