When I open my edge bar and tap a folder, the folder opens and overlays the side bar. The side bar would slide back when a folder was open before I thought. Or maybe the folder wasnt transparent so the overlay wasnt distracting. It's also very gittery as is the animation of the app I'm opening.
Please try clearing the system cache and rebooting your device.
