So after the update when I slide up Google Assistant doesn't activate anymore is anybody else having this problem

you have to slide from the bottom corner diagonally if you use new full screen gestures. I've found One Handed+ on play store is so much better for gestures

swipe up from either left bottom or right bottom for that. it's easier if you aim near the edges (not at the edge, just close enough) and then do it.

Please try clearing the system cache and rebooting your device.

Same problem here. Looks like they broke it when the navigation buttons are enabled or swipe from bottom is enabled.
