Google Messages not working

This has suddenly stopped working. It's now routing to the default Samsung message app. I have uninstalled the app, restarted my phone and still does not work. Please help!

I've noticed this too, but thought it was because I had to use an iPhone for the last week while my phone was in the shop.

one of the beta known issues does mention 3rd party messaging apps so maybe that's it

I've had this problem since Beta 2 so hopefully it gets fixed with Beta 3

I've noticed the same issue. I recently installed lawnchair and the widget only links to the default messages app.. I figured this may have caused the issue. I didn't have this issue prior to using this Launcher

same here just randomly stopped working I guess I'll use Samsung till the beta is over

Please try clearing the system cache and rebooting your device.

If issue persists, please send us an error report with screenshots from One UI Beta App (Beta Feedback -> Send feedback-> Error Reports -> "Select Category" -> Input frequency and Description" -> Send (Top Right Icon). We appreciate your help for supporting beta program.

No issues here, been using Google Messages (dark mode) since before Android 10 & One UI 2.0 (beta 2).

Beta 3 fixed this problem for me, at least it's working now
