Will we ever have the LED notification again?  Would be nice instead of having to turn on screen to check for messages.

Messages app would be nice if able to really customize. Color of notifications and messages. Would be a nice perk and keep me from downloading messaging apps.

there's app called LED me know for the s10 and note 10 line of phones. it lines the hole punch and effectively serves the same funcion as an LED notification light. you can customize the color for certain apps, and the boldness of the outline around the hole punch. I'd recommend checking it out.

Yeah I think she meant being able to do that without downloading a third party app. I totally agree. Android's messaging app needs a makeover. More customization for sure.

Unfortunately, there's no physical LED light.
This fact was one of the reasons why I was hesitant about upgrading from the S9. It seems like a step backward, and surprised that there's no way to have some way to see if you have a notification without using the AOD.
Years ago I used an app called NoLED that had a blinking dot that moved around on your screen to prevent burn in. I'm guessing that any app that does this or that rings the camera cutout will **bleep** battery...

That's a hardware feature. Samsung decided to remove it in favor of Edge Lighting but that feature is pretty much a complete disaster.

I wouldn't say it's a disaster but if given a choice, I much prefer LED notifications light and to be able to customize them to certain individuals would be epic! And if you really wanted to take it over Samsung, move that customization over to the regular messaging app. If any app ever needed a total revamp, it's the messaging app. Anyone agree? More options and customization. For $1000, I'm not asking for alot.
