Not expecting a solution but I thought I'd at least ask

I backed up my phone, updated to the new beta 3 realized then all my pictures and videos in my gallery were gone. Restored my phone and the pictures were still gone. I've tried everything I know to try but no luck. I'm assuming they are gone for good but let me know if you know of something for me to try. Thanks!

You can confirm they are gone by using a file browser.

What kind of backup did you make? Physical? Cloud?

As a workaround, Settings -> Apps -> Gallery, Force stop, then Storage-> Clear cache, Storage-> Clear Data

Also, if you haven't already ... reboot the phone to maintenance mode and delete the Cache Partition, then reboot back into phone.

Be sure to report the issue.

I had the same issue on the 2nd version of the Beta update. I store my Pics on my micro SD card.

After the 2nd update my pics disappeared. Removing and reinstalling my SD card solved the issue for me.

No problems to date with 3rd beta update.

Depending on your settings your photos might also be backed up to Google Photos, Samsung Cloud or both. Samsung Clouds backup of photos in the gallery includes a trash can with photos deleted in the past 14 days. Your pictures could be backed up there.

Please try below steps:

Settings > Apps > "Show system apps" in the top right corner,

  1. Select "Media Storage" > Storage > Clear data
  2. Select "Sec Media Storage" > Storage > Clear data

※ Note: The tag information added arbitrarily disappears but the original is preserved and other information is filled by reanalysis.
