I know it's not exactly the correct place but since google has began pushing RCs services in their messages app I was wondering when Samsung would implement it and update the stock messages app?

BTW using the Google messages app I still for some reason cannot activate RCS while my other Android friends can. I'm on T-MOBILE so that might have something to do with it but its technically carrier independent.
Anyone else notice this?

You probably won't see Samsung do it for some time. It's a waste of time right now anyway because RCS isn't standard between carriers but that will change next year..maybe. In a nutshell, Google was going to assist the carriers with developing a unified messaging app but the carriers procrastinated and nothing happened until Google decided to just go it alone. Then the carriers got off their rear ends and the big 4 formed a consortium and announced that they were going to release a unified messaging app in 2020.
It's in such a mess right now it wouldn't make sense for Samsung to do anything.
BTW, the general opinion is that anything the carriers come up probably won't be something to write home about.

Supposedly T-mobile and Sprint are going to be merging next year so I don't know what that will mean for the stock messaging app but I hope it gets better coverage and signal 📶 in more places. I am in an area where they turned on 5G yesterday and I don't notice a speed boost on fast.com compared to times before when I tested it. It was supposed to increase 4G speed and any people who had 5G phones but I'm not in a hurry to get a 5G phone. I love the S10+ and it works great anyways.

I'm able to have enhanced messaging with other T-mobile users and I don't know if it's exactly RCS or not but it's different than it used to be. It shows when they are delivered, read and when they are typing. I think it's in the chat options that I activated everything and turned it on. I have the Galaxy S10+ unlocked and there are 2 people that it works with that also have T-mobile. It doesn't work with anyone else.

I keep seeing this. My S10+ on Sprint network has RCS through the stock text messaging app. I can see read and typing notifications between me and Tmobile phones. ofcourse in order for it to work, BOTH parties have to have it activated.

I have the google messaging app with RCS activated on tmobile. I used the steps found online to do this which (at the time I did it) included an activity launcher app to define a couple of fields before it would successfully activate. Works like a champ.
