I just installed Google messaging app and made it default for messaging purpose. it supports RCS. you should probably do the same

There are some that claim Samsung Messages App already allowed for RCS but I haven't seen it nor know how to enable it.
Your best bet would be to use Google Messages if you want to use RCS right away. I personally don't care for the look of Google Messages and use either Pulse or QKSMS.
