smooth transition gone?

One of the things that most stuck out to me when I installed the beta was the smooth transition from lock screen clock to AOD clock (smooth as silk)

Unfortunately with the second beta this transition is gone and I cant find anything related to it in settings

Will this be coming back in future updates?
