unable to share in WhatsApp after beta update

When I choose to share something with outside app or picture to WhatsApp, I can select whatsapp and it opens but the item does not attach. If I share directly through the WhatsApp application it works correctly. Anyone seen this?

whatsapp is currently not supporting sharing option in android10. use attach option from the keyboard instead as a temp workaround or copy/paste url if sharing a website.

Unacceptable for WhatsApp to not be on top of this already. Sad day when Facebook bought it.
