So, a user posed a unique dilemma on the Samsung Community board. Anyone that has a good answer would be helpful.

So here's the problem. User registered for the beta and already downloaded the update. However, before actually installing the update he's changed his mind. How can he escape having the update actually installing other than perpetually delaying the scheduled install time?

Below is a link to the thread on the Community board along with a screenshot since he can't yet access the One UI app because he hasn't actually installed the update. I figured that the more knowledgeable of you are now on the app here and offered to repost this with a link back to the board. Any answers/suggestions for this user would have to be posted there.

no root, can't delete the update file. may be able to find out what the file name is and use ADB shell to remove it but that's a more advanced thing and can lead to undesired effects.

Do you think doing a factory reset and restore from Smart Switch before he performed the install would have any benefit to him?

a factory reset will not wipe the beta update. I had to factory reset after the update because of an issue. the update is still there. it was clearly announced before the beta came out that you had to backup 9.0 on smart switch for PC before installing the update. no one really seemed to read that and now can't figure out why they can't go back. if they didn't back up on smart switch for PC before installing the beta, you cannot revert back.
