It seems like every other country is getting the update first, and I dont see why not just release the update at the same time everywhere

ummm even corporations have limits. If they had an infinite supply of money, then maybe that's possible. Also, releasing it incrementally across the world will allow them to possibly catch additional bugs a few long the way.

The US has always been last. Once Samsung finishes the update the carriers have to pass off on it. The unlocked phones get it last because they have to be capable of working with any carrier and so they're only uodated after all carriers push the updates. If you're wondering why the carriers have so much power, the majority of Samsung phones in the US are sold through carriers. It's always been that way and no amount of complaining is going to change that. It's all about the money.

One of the major reasons is that most Samsung phones in North America have Snapdragon chips. The update bias also extends to carriers getting the updates first normally, unlocked phones sold directly by Samsung get dissed too!

Or maybe America is just like a privileged kid who thinks they should get everything first? Y'all act like Samsung is a US based Corp.

Most people on the regular members app assume that because Android code that Samsung gets from Google, would be more useful in their own unlocked phones first, most of us learned that doesn't seem to be the case.
