Why does this app keep asking me if I want to turn off my mobile hotspot to turn on Wi-Fi Direct? 

I do not have Wi-Fi activated I do not use Wi-Fi I don't even own Wi-Fi in my home why does this particular app keep asking me if I want to be on Wi-Fi Direct?? and why Wi-Fi direct vs. Regular Wi-Fi?? 

who really uses wifi-direct anyway?? I'm glad that it's there for somebody who might need it but the majority of people don't even know what wifi-direct is, let alone use it... so why is my phone asking me if I want to go on Wi-Fi Direct?

I don't even have a router in my home there's no physical way I can do wifi-direct I don't have the Wi-Fi or the box or the router

never had wifi direct pop up for me. try clearing app data for wifi direct (search under apps) and removing permissions
