I am using india version mobile s23 ultra in malaysia but I am unable to get the feature reward points for any transactions which I swipe through samsung pay due to my mobile purchased in different region. Do we have any workaround instead of purchasing malaysia region samsung mobile version to get rewards feature. It is very disappointed.
The rewards feature is tied to the home country of the device. This is because different countries have different guidelines on their rewards structure (local laws, partners, brands also impact this).
You can still earn these points (refer to your home country's structure), and utilise our new cross-borders conversion points on our local website (samsung.com/my) - you can convert them during checkout.
Hi. Yup. Same as me as i am currently using USA based model. Can use the card but cant get any point. The only way i think(based on google research) is to flash a malaysian based custom rom on your device. It is possible but its kinda complicated and to much work(for non tech guy). That it. Cheeers.
oh no.. now i know why i could not get rewards point. i bought a used phone from an online merchant. I did not expect that different rewards structure for different region. I guess i have to find new buyer for my phone.
